The finish we offer
We only stock textured powder coat. It gives the finished metal a textured surface rather than a smooth gloss appearance. Available colours and eligible material combinations are shown when you quote your actual part.
If you need a particular colour match, coating specification or appearance, check with us before ordering. Do not assume a colour is available because it appears in an illustration.
Check the options for your part
Powder coating is an optional finish on supported metal jobs. Acrylic is not part of this coating range. Start with your drawing, material and thickness, then check the available services in your quote.
For coating enquiries outside an online cutting order, contact the team first so we can confirm whether we can help.
Holes, clearances and masking
A coating adds material to the surface. Allow for its effect on close-fitting holes, slots, mating faces and moving parts. A small clearance in bare metal may become too tight after finishing.
- Tell us which holes or faces are critical to assembly.
- Discuss whether any area must remain uncoated.
- Confirm masking requirements and any extra work before paying.
- For a new design, check a coated first part before ordering a larger batch.
We do not publish a universal coating allowance because the requirement depends on the part and finish. Send your fit requirements so the approach can be checked.
Match the finish to the environment
Tell us whether your part will be used indoors or exposed to weather, chemicals, abrasion or heat. The metal, preparation and coating specification all affect suitability.
If a particular durability or corrosion requirement is essential, agree it before ordering. The presence of a coating option alone does not establish a particular performance rating.
Production and delivery
For stocked material, normal production is 1–2 days, with next-day delivery after dispatch. If you are adding a finish and working to a fixed deadline, check the timing for your particular job before ordering. Waiting for stock material can extend production.

Can I choose a smooth or gloss powder coat?
Our stocked coating range is textured. Check with us before ordering if you need a different specification.
Can you guarantee a colour from a screen image?
A screen image is an illustration. If colour matching matters, discuss the required colour or reference before ordering.
Will every hole be masked?
Do not assume masking is included. Identify critical holes and faces, and agree any masking requirement before paying.
