Start with these checks.
The price depends on your drawing, material, thickness, quantity and finish. Compare these options while keeping the features your part needs.
Remove unwanted lines
Your cutting file should contain the part outline, holes and slots. Remove dimensions, page borders, notes, spare views and extra copies of the same line.
File Workshop can help check duplicate lines. Compare the drawing before and after a repair to make sure the shape has stayed the same.
Simplify details you do not need
Look at decorative cut-outs, small holes and intricate edges. Could a simpler design still do the job and look the way you want? Try quoting that version to compare the price.
Keep necessary fixing holes, strong connections and dimensions that control the fit. Only compare designs that meet your requirements.
Compare suitable materials and thicknesses
Check the available materials and thicknesses. If more than one option suits your design, quote each one and compare. Changing material or thickness also changes weight, stiffness, corrosion resistance and cutting limits.
Choose the least expensive option that still does the job. Ask us about availability if you need a particular grade or finish.
Compare the quantities you need
You can order one part, with a £20 minimum order. Start with a quantity of one, then try the batch size you expect to need. Compare both the price per part and the total.
For a new design, ordering one first lets you check the fit before buying more. If you change the drawing, upload the revised file for a new quote.

Choose the finish you need
Compare the price with and without optional powder coating if both suit your part. If you need masking, where selected areas stay uncoated, or other work, agree it with us before ordering.
We are not VAT registered and do not charge VAT. Check the full order total, including shipping. When comparing quotes, keep track of the material, thickness, quantity and finish used for each one.
